Norm Desmarais is the Chairman and Chief Technology Officer of TiER 1. Since 1989, Mr. Desmarais has founded four companies in manufacturing and high tech industries.

Prior to forming TiER 1, he served as Vice President of Enterprise Learning with AF Kelly & Associates of Kentucky. AF Kelly was renowned for providing businesses with solutions that enhance impact, efficiency, and profitability. AF Kelly recently merged with Haverstick Consulting of Indianapolis.

Previously he served as President and CEO of Cambridge Digital Media of Cambridge, Massachusetts. Cambridge Digital Media, Inc. was a national leader in training and web development, having produced over 100 applications for e-Commerce, e-Business, e-Learning, Education, Training, Sales, and Consumer multimedia titles.

Norm is a recognized leader in web-based learning and has published several papers on implementing web-based applications and courseware development. Norm also frequently speaks and presents at national conferences. His companies have been featured in numerous national press releases and have received recognition for accomplishments in training, CD-ROM publishing, and Web development.

He holds a BS in Computer Science from Fitchburg State College and an MBA in Government Contracting from Western New England College.
