The most important part of TiER1 is our people.
Those fancy coffee machines are pretty important too, but they’re way easier to find than talented team members. Sometimes we have pressing needs for specific roles, and when that happens we’ll post them in the column you see on the right. But whether or not we have an immediate need, we’re always excited about meeting talented, fun and motivated people.
We’re bursting at the seams with a wide array of skills. Ph.Ds in Human Factors and Adult Learning hang out with award-winning graphic designers, who share inside jokes with intensely talented technology experts, who talk sports with savvy change management consultants. There’s even a musician or two thrown in there.
Most people at TiER1 fit into one of these four groups: learning, creative, technology and navigation (which is kind of like consulting). The groups break down like this:
- Learning: these folks understand how adults learn, and know what it takes to teach them effectively. They read all the academic articles, but also know how to apply them!
- Creative: our creatives are experts at communicating visually. They know all the gritty details of things like CSS, color correction and motion graphics, but their focus is always presenting information in smart and compelling ways.
- Technology: Our technology people have a rare blend of high-end software development expertise and the ability to explain it in words that laypeople can understand.
- Navigation: TiER1’s navigators are consultants who find the right blend of our various skillsets to apply to each client’s business need. They’re great at translating the 50,000 foot view into what needs to happen on the ground.
Despite the diverse backgrounds that comprise our team, we have something in common: we’re all High Performers that care about Relationships. The mark of a great person at TiER1 is someone who does his or her job at an amazing level of skill while maintaining positive relationships with other team members and clients.
The kind of people we love to meet have a lot in common with those we already know: diversely talented, yet unified in their focus on quality and people. If this sounds like you, follow these instructions to introduce yourself.
